PLANNING AND OPERATIONS – FACILITIES MAINTENANCE SUPERVISOR
The Facilities Maintenance Supervisor manages, supervises, and performs work in the general repair and maintenance of the Urbana Park District’s facilities and equipment. The position manages the facility division’s annual budget, directs the maintenance crew’s yearly work plan, and oversees facility maintenance, including carpentry, plumbing, mechanics, electrical, light construction, aquatics, and custodial. Typical hours are 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, though the position may require flexibility in the hours worked to meet the department’s needs.
URBANA PARK DISTRICT INFORMATION
The Urbana Park District (UPD) includes 10 facilities and 22 parks and natural areas. Facilities managed by the UPD include the Anita Purves Nature Center, the Crystal Lake Park Family Aquatic Center, the Lake House, the Health and Wellness Center, Phillips Recreation Center, the Urbana Indoor Aquatic Center, the Meadowbrook Interpretive Center and Farmstead, the Phebus Administrative Center, Planning and Operations, and the Hickory Street Site as well as numerous pavilions and playgrounds throughout the district. In addition, the UPD manages approximately 575 acres of land, including lands owned and leased. The UPD employs approximately 50 full-time staff and roughly 300 part-time/seasonal staff.
PAY RANGE: FY25
$61,528 – $82,572 + Paid time off, access to benefits, and participation in the Illinois Municipal Retirement Fund (IMRF)
