Job Summary:
MGT is a national leader in public sector management consulting and services that delivers diverse business consulting services to a wide range of public sector groups. In this position we are looking for someone to help us establish a portfolio management system using the process map we’ve pre-defined and existing list of demand; hands-on portfolio coordination and process established; and processes/system fully established for portfolio management across stages (more focused on project tracking and approvals vs. financial planning).
We currently are succeeding at:
- Demand intake & near term requests
- Some degree of forward looking requests (within 1 yr horizon)
Our biggest gaps include:
- Multi-yr demand and strategic plans/targets (I’m working this, will take a while to have top down centralized targets)
- Resource management (forecasting, coordination, assignment, tracking, etc.)
- Project demand resource mgmt.
- Task / operational demand resource management
- Project tracking & status reporting (have a model but it’s not very well followed)
There’s currently an opportunity for us to reduce the current demand as well, so anyone with practical experience in getting executive leadership to prioritize the list of their projects in a meaningful way would be very valuable for us.
