- Prepares technical specifications, scopes of work, contract documents and independent cost estimates for invitations for bid and requests for quotation (on repairs and replacements of existing equipment and infrastructure at all Pace garages.
- Writes technical specifications for equipment and building system upgrades, repairs, and replacements.
- Writes scopes of work for inspection, testing, maintenance, and repair of Pace's equipment and building systems for fume sensing calibration, plumbing devices back flow certifications, inspection and testing of standby generators, fire detection systems, fire suppression systems, and HVAC systems and controls.
- Evaluates costs for repairs, services, and improvements.
- Troubleshoots equipment and building failures to determine the next course of action.
- Periodically inspects contractors work; and performs other duties as required.
- Local travel to Pace locations is required.
- Must have a valid driver's license with a safe driving record.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Must have at least five-years previous experience writing equipment replacement and maintenance service contracts; writing and administering service contracts for building trades; and writing technical specifications for the replacement and repair of existing building equipment and infrastructure and must have a good work record.
- Must demonstrate proficiency using Microsoft applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, and Teams.
- Must demonstrate strong business writing skills; strong proofreading, editing, grammar, spelling, and punctuation skills; good verbal and written communication skills; and strong interpersonal skills.
- Work is primarily performed in a professional office environment.
- Associate degree is preferred.
