- Ensure all department-mandated training is completed, documented, and aligned with customer service principles.
- Implement department goals and objectives set by senior leadership.
- Ensure compliance with safety and security policies and enforce security screening requirements.
- Recommend updates to the department’s general orders and ensure adherence.
- Serve as the primary department representative for emergency operations and incident response.
- Oversee and review all complaint reports and follow up as needed.
- Ensure the timely preparation of legal documentation for court proceedings.
- Coordinate with federal authorities on arrests and violation charges.
- Manage training schedules and documentation for department staff.
- Submit departmental reports as needed.
- Assist in the budget preparation for department operations.
- Respond to emergency calls as required.
- Ensure proper staffing coverage and assist with procurement of supplies.
- Oversee day-to-day operations of the department.
- Assist in hiring, performance evaluations, disciplinary actions, and terminations.
- Support the resolution of grievances and labor relations issues.
- Possess a valid motor vehicle operator’s license and maintain insurability.
- Maintain security badging requirements.
- Experience working with labor unions preferred.
- High school diploma from an accredited institution required.
- Bachelor’s degree in criminal justice or a related field required.
- Minimum of five (5) years of progressive security, emergency response, or police management experience.
- Must be capable of running and lifting over 100 lbs during emergency situations and training simulations.
- Requires visual acuity and depth perception.
- Administrative duties involve computer work, keyboard use, and prolonged sitting.
- Ability to traverse multiple-site properties.
- The office work environment and main sites are climate controlled.
- Outside work may expose the individual to adverse weather conditions (sometimes for prolonged periods of time), including but not limited, to extreme heat or cold, high humidity, rain, snow, and high winds.
- Personal safety risks, such as armed individuals, communicable diseases, and hazards related to traffic control and emergency driving.
- Exposure to stressful situations.
