Contract Position – Part-Time (20+ hrs/week) – Greater Providence Area

MGT is seeking a talented and versatile Marketing Specialist II for a part-time (20+ hours per week) opportunity in the Greater Providence area. The selected candidate will be employed by MGT and contracted to the Client for the duration of the assignment.

Job Summary:
We are looking for a creative and strategic Marketing Specialist to lead and support our client in a variety of marketing initiatives that build brand awareness, support communications goals, and drive engagement across multiple platforms. This role goes beyond social media to include content development, campaign strategy, newsletters, advertising, and data-driven marketing decisions. The ideal candidate brings a mix of content creation, digital marketing, analytics, and strategic thinking to help deliver impactful and consistent marketing efforts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies and campaigns across digital and traditional channels.
  • Create, schedule, and publish content for social media, email newsletters, blog posts, and marketing materials.
  • Write engaging copy for ad campaigns, internal communications, and promotional collateral.
  • Contribute ideas for news stories, articles, and brand storytelling that align with the organization’s messaging.
  • Assist in the development of marketing materials across departments to support various business needs and goals.
  • Manage paid media campaigns, including paid social and digital advertising, optimizing for performance and ROI.
  • Track, analyze, and interpret marketing metrics (web, social, email, etc.) to evaluate effectiveness and adjust strategy.
  • Research market trends, competitors, and best practices to inform marketing direction and innovation.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to ensure brand consistency and alignment across all communications.
  • Uphold the highest standards of confidentiality when working with sensitive or proprietary information
Qualifications & Skills:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 2–4 years of experience in marketing, content development, and campaign execution.
  • Strong copywriting and editing skills with an ability to tailor messaging to different audiences.
  • Experience with email marketing, social media, and digital advertising platforms.
  • Ability to develop creative ideas and bring them to life visually and verbally.
  • Proficient in marketing tools such as CMS platforms, email systems, and social scheduling tools.
  • Knowledge of analytics and reporting tools (e.g., Google Analytics, platform insights).
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with graphic design or video editing tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite).
  • Familiarity with content optimization best practices.
  • Knowledge of branding, public engagement, and community outreach strategies.
