Lisle Township, DuPage County, IL (pop. 119,040Lisle Township is seeking an experienced executive with exceptional interpersonal skills who has successfully led a municipal, township, or county organization. 
 
Townships in Illinois were created in 1850. Lisle Township is one of nine townships in DuPage CountyIllinois and the fourth most populous. Lisle Township encompasses approximately 42,000 parcels of property and $16 billion in total property assets. The Village of Lisle resides entirely within the Township. 40% of the population of the City of Naperville, which is the largest segment in any of the four townships that serve the City of Naperville, is within the Township. Additionally, half of the Village of Woodridge is in Lisle Township, seven precincts are in the Village of Downers Grove, and approximately 1,000 people in Lisle Township also live in the Village of Bolingbrook.  The Township’s services include a food pantry that serves 2,200 people per month for an annual total of 28,000.  The Township General Assistance program has an annual budget of $300,000 providing support to Lisle residents in a variety of areas including: rent assistance, food assistance, clothing assistance and other forms of support. Other programs include a transportation program, operated in conjunction with PACE, to serve disabled and seniors, passport services, a medical lending closet, and a recycling program.  
 
The Township Administrator reports jointly to the Township Supervisor and the Township Board. The township Board is elected to serve 4-year terms.  Each Board member will be up for re-election in April 2025.  
Major duties include providing professional leadership, management and administrative oversight to the Township, works with the Township Supervisor and Board to keep them informed and explain technical processes such as the levy and budget processes, prepares the Township levy, makes recommendations to the Township Supervisor and Board regarding budget development, oversees annual financial audit including review of contract for services and recommends an auditing firm, responsible for overall financial management including adoption, implementation and compliance with relevant rules and regulations, monitors legislation affecting the Township and representing the Township in the community presenting a positive, productive attitude and confident image.
 
Candidates must possess a degree in public administration or related field (Masters Degree preferred), 3 – 7 years of experience leading a municipal/township/county organization with operational experience focusing in the areas of budgeting and finance, human resource management, information technology, risk management and administration. A valid Illinois driver’s license and liability insurance is required. Other combinations of education and experience, which could provide the necessary knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform this job, may be considered.
