Park Ridge, IL – Senior Fiscal Technician

The City of Park Ridge is currently seeking an experienced Senior Fiscal Technician to join our team in the Finance Department!

SENIOR FISCAL TECHNICIAN

Starting salary:         $27.18 per hour/$53,000 annual

This position is mainly responsible for accounts payable processes within the Finance Department.  This role will additionally provide assistance for the cashiering, collections and utility billing functions summarized below.  It is essential that this position provides exemplary customer service to city departments and members of the public.

·         Innovative ideas for streamlining Finance functions.

Highlighted Functions:

·                     Reviews and processes accounts payables and issues check and ACH payments;

·                     Reconciles vendor statements and resolves potential issues;

·                     Processes and tracks documents to ensure appropriate completion of transactions;

·                     Maintains accounts payable files and reports;

·                     Reviews and processes invoices and credit card expenditures, verifies coding of purchases, reviews supporting documentation, account number coding, reconciles vendor and credit card statements, and posts activity to general ledger and accounts payable;

·                     Assists with accounts receivable functions;

·                     Provides front-counter customer interactions.

Qualifications, Requirements and Experience:

·                     High School diploma or equivalent;

·                     Three (3) years of progressively responsible related experience;

·                     This is considered a light duty, office position.
