The Addison Park District seeks a dynamic, collaborative, organized, and experienced professional join our leadership team as the Superintendent of Recreation & Revenue Facilities. As a growing agency serving a diverse community of 37,000 residents, we are committed to providing exceptional recreational opportunities across our 25 parks and facilities, including Club Fitness, Community Park, Centennial Park, and Links & Tees Golf Facility.

In this key role, you will oversee all recreation programs, services, special events, and daily operations, ensuring the highest quality of service for our community. You will manage staff, develop strategic initiatives, and collaborate on marketing efforts to boost participation and revenue, all while fostering a positive work environment for employees.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversees Club Fitness, recreation programs, youth/adult, special events, aquatics, and facilities.
  • Leads and develop staff, fostering a culture of growth and teamwork.
  • Administers recreation and revenue facility budgets and financial goals, with a focus on maximizing program impact.
  • Serves on committees and attends Commission meetings.
  • Collaborates with marketing to promote community services.
  • Ensures safety protocols and risk management initiatives are followed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Recreation, Public Administration, or related field.
  • 5+ years of related recreation experience with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
  • Experience managing revenue facilities is preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office is needed and experience with RecTrac is preferred.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.
  • CPRP/CPRE certification or willingness to obtain is strongly preferred.

Compensation & Benefits:

The salary for this position is $92,000+ DOQ, and includes a generous benefits program with medical, dental, vision, life, pension (IMRF), and paid time off.
