Margaret Resnick worked for over 30 years in parks and recreation. She held the position of Executive Director, Deputy Director and Interim Executive Director. In these roles she led agencies through long range plans, community wide surveys, union negotiations, grant applications and the Illinois accreditation program.

Her involvement in the field also includes committee work with the Illinois Association of Park Districts and the Illinois Park & Recreation Association. For IPRA she served on the Board of Directors and Director of the Administration and Finance Section. For IAPD and IPRA’s Joint Committees she served as Chair of the Conference Committee and Chair of the Distinguished Accreditation Committee. She was awarded IPRA’s Young Professional Award and received IPRA’s Professional Award twice.

Margaret has worked with several grants through the Illinois Department of Natural Resources (OSLAD and PARC) as well as Lake County Storm Water Management and IAPD.
