Permit Technician
(MGT Contracted Employee)
MGT Impact Solutions is seeking candidates to fill the contracted full-time position of Permit Technician to work at the Village of Lombard. Person will be an employee of MGT with services contracted to the Village on an on-going, recurring basis. All qualified candidates are welcome to apply including IMRF pensioners seeking to continue working in local government without compromising receipt of pension.
Primary Duties: This position performs administrative and technical work in the building permit review functions of the department; processes applications for building permits submitted digitally on the online portal; schedules and records building inspections; interacts with contractors and general public on related permitting and building issues. The position will also be responsible for receiving initial process, inspection scheduling and issuance of electronic plan and building permit applications.
Position Requirements: Successful candidate will have ability work in fast-paced environment, to understand and interpret policies and procedures, and possess general computer skills, excellent customer service skills and strong administrative and organizational skills. Prior related municipal work experience is preferred.
