Will County Executive Office

The Apprenticeship Specialist plays a pivotal role in workforce development, focusing on establishing and nurturing relationships with employers to facilitate collaborative efforts aimed at enhancing workforce outcomes. This position is responsible for identifying employer needs, organizing strategic initiatives, and cultivating partnerships to foster talent development within specific sectors. This is a one-year grant funded position.

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Human Resources, Education, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Proven experience in relationship management, preferably in a workforce development, recruiting, or business development role. Strong understanding of workforce trends and industry needs, particularly within designated sectors. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels. Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines. Analytical mindset with proficiency in data interpretation and reporting. Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Valid Illinois Driver’s License and minimum liability insurance required by law.
