GIS Specialist

Job Summary:  This position involves developing and maintaining the Geographic Information Systems (GIS)
operating environment, including ESRI GIS mapping software, SQL Server, ArcGIS Online, and ArcGIS Enterprise,
to support the Village’s spatial data needs. The role requires the creation, acquisition, analysis, and management
of spatial and tabular GIS data along with the necessary metadata, ensuring they meet the requirements of both
internal and external clients.

Key Responsibilities: Include technical support to Village staff; designing and implementing methodologies, structures, and formats for GIS programming and databases across the Village; assisting the GIS Manager in performing analytical, technical, and administrative tasks related to planning, designing, and maintaining the Village’s GIS system.

Compensation:  Starting Salary of $77,819 to $85,990 DOQ

Hours/Schedule:  40 hours per week.  Monday – Friday between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.

Education / Experience:  Bachelors Degree in geography, urban planning, computer science or a related field.
Two to four years of related work experience
