Rachel King is a Classification and Compensation Project Manager with MGT/GovHR. Prior to working with MGT/GovHR, Mrs. King has spent more than 8 years in human resource management. She has a proven track record in developing and implementing HR strategies that align with business goals.
During her time with MGT/GovHR, Rachel has worked on more than 30 Classification and Compensation projects for communities all over the country and for entities of all sizes varying from 20 employees to 200+ employees and ranging in population from 500 to 200,000+. Rachel works with a variety of clients including municipalities, county governments, park districts, council of governments, and non-profit agencies. During her work on Classification and Compensation projects, Rachel has also analyzed performance evaluation systems, benefit data, developed DEIB best practices, and developed job descriptions.
Rachel is experienced with both startups, corporate, and governmental organizations. Rachel is a native of Chapin, South Carolina. She possesses a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Southern New Hampshire University.
Prior to her time with the MGT/GovHR, Rachel served as a Human Resources Manager for the start up technology company, cove.tool. During her time as a Human Resources Manager, she was responsible for recruiting and staffing, employee relations, performance management, compliance and legal, compensation and benefits, training and development, and employee engagement.
Rachel is passionate about employee engagement, workplace cultures, employee well-being, equity, and diversity and inclusion. Throughout her tenure as a Human Resources Manager, Rachel achieved the Great Place to Work certification, which is a prestigious recognition that indicates an organization’s commitment to creating a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
