Office Manager/Deputy Village Clerk
The Village of Berkeley is seeking individuals interested in working for a diverse, dynamic, and forward-thinking team in the position of Office Manager/Deputy Village Clerk. Under the direction of the Assistant Village Administrator, this position performs advanced, professional-level technical and administrative work.

 

Work areas of focus include:

·         Managing day-to-day front-office operations

·         Oversees bi-weekly payroll

·         Acts as FOIA Officer for the Village

·         Serves as custodian of official Village records

·         Processes and prepares various Village licenses

The successful candidate will have a high school diploma or GED equivalent and a minimum of three-years experience in an increasingly responsible related position (or any equivalent combination of education and experience) in general clerical work preferably in a municipal environment. Office Management experience a plus. This position requires working knowledge of modern office and technology practices and procedures, the ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing with internal and external parties, resolving situations with difficult parties while maintaining excellent customer service, and managing a workplace where frequent interruptions can occur.

The current annual salary range for the position is $63,103 to $88,344, depending on qualifications. The Village offers a comprehensive benefit for employees and their dependents:
