Village of Hoffman Estates
The Village of Hoffman Estates is seeking qualified candidates for the position of Superintendent of Streets. This position is responsible for a variety of routine and complex responsibilities related to the management and maintenance of Village infrastructure including streets, signs, storm sewers, traffic control, fleet, grounds, and urban forest. Duties include coordination and planning of special events and programs and providing guidance and direction to supervisors and field staff. This position oversees the Village’s snow and ice operations and is the primary staff member for weather related events/response. Candidates must possess exemplary internal and external customer service skills and provides strong management oversight of Village projects.
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
• Valid Illinois driver’s license
• Minimum of 5 years experience in Public Works or a related industry
• 3 to 5 years supervisory experience is preferred
• Associates degree from two-year college or technical school with coursework in Civil Engineering,
Business Management, Construction Management or closely related field
WORK SCHEDULE:
40 hours per week
Monday – Friday 6:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.
COMPENSATION:
Salary is DOQ
2024 Salary Range is $94,133 – $133,668
Full Benefits: Medical, dental and vision insurance, IMRF pension, paid time off including vacation, sick leave, designated and floating holidays.
Upon offer, a pre-employment Village-paid drug screen, physical and background investigation is required.
